Twonky is a pretty cool service that allows its users to live stream internet-based content from a mobile device to another your TV. One of the limitations of Twonky previously was that it was limited in the websites and apps it could Beam with – not anymore.
A new Beam button will enable users to wirelessly transfer the video to their Internet-connected TV or media streaming device on all sites and apps that incorporate it – that means you can download Twonky and Beam all your content wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, PC or internet-connected TV or media streaming device. You’ll automatically be alerted if the site is supported by a Beam sign across the video content and if you choose to Beam the video you’ll have six options: On/Off, Device Selection, Play, Stop, Volume and queue for your videos.
You can download Twonky’s free software to begin beaming. PC users can download and install Twonky 7 for Mac or Windows, while mobile users can use the free Twonky Beam app from the Android or iTunes app store.
